Program MIYAMELO is a duo of two augmented flutes + two improvisation machines comprised of MIYA + MELO.
MIYA: A prominent figure in the Japanese improvised music scene, Miya performs on a unique “Modular Flute” setup combining sensors and modular synthesizer with the flute.
MELO: With roots in classical music training, with specializations in contemporary music performance, Melo has developed her own sensor-augmented flute (Chaosflöte) + improvisation machine (AIYA) performance practice since 2016.
Description Residency concert with MIYAMELO on the 27th October at 19.30h at Studio Z4. °•○⁰ Opening portals and jumping dimensions, finding ourselves flying in the chaos storm of sounds, treading the delicate balance between control and eruption, leaning into the paths the electric sound fields sculpt for us.
