Description Kronos worked with composers such as Steve Reich and Philipp Glass, became known to a wider audience with the 1985 album Kronos Quartet Plays Music of Thelonious Monk and later also recorded a version of Jimi Hendrixs Purple Haze. In 2011, the Kronos Quartet won the renowned Polar Music Prize, fittingly together with Patti Smith. On the occasion of their 50th anniversary, this quartet, which made music history, is going on one last Five Decades tour.
