| Biography | Noémi Büchi (*1991) is a composer and sound artist from Zurich, in search of musical structures that evoke both emotional and intellectual euphoria. Her music is characterized by a delicate blend of electronic-orchestral condensations and complex textural rhythms - both in a never-ending variation, like multidirectional passages. It strives for a combination of harmonic and dissonant sonorities, with a strong meditative energy. Diverse influences can be heard, ranging from classical, impressionistic, folk music, jazz to electroacoustic music. Büchi holds a Bachelor's degree in Musicology and German Studies from the University of Zurich and a Master's degree in Electroacoustic Composition from ZHdK – University of the Arts Zurich. She released her first EP «Matière» in October 2020 and her live set «Prismic Passages» in June 2021. |
