| Biography | SELECTED COMPOSER FOR THE 2021 SONIC MATTER_LISTENING LOUNGE Misha Cvijović is a Serbian composer and pianist based in Berlin who writes contemporary orchestral music, chamber music, electroacoustic music, opera/musical theater, stage and film music. Misha Cvijović's compositions have been performed at numerous festivals including, Opening of the Month of Contemporary Music Berlin, Unerhörte Musik, MaerzMusik, 11. Impuls Graz, Klangwerkstatt Festival für Neue Musik Berlin, Originaltöne Festival, Symposium Neues Musiktheater Deutsche Oper Berlin, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Frauen im Musiktheater Neuköllner Oper, Fresh Works for Fresh Minds Basel, PAF, Competition for Compositions by Contemporary Composers of the Serbian Radio Symphony Orchestra, arte, 40th Saarbrücken Film Festival Max-Ophüls Preis, Achtung Berlin, Cannes Film Festival. Her compositions have been performed by many contemporary music ensembles and orchestras, including: Zafraan Ensemble, Ensemble RADAR, georg katzer ensemble Berlin, zone experimentale Basel, Orchestra Radio Television Serbia, etc. with conductors such as Titus Engel, Mike Svoboda, Alessandro Crudele, Nodoka Okisawa, Musashi Baba. Her compositions have been performed on Radio Deutschlandfunk, WDR 3, Radio Bremen, Radio Television Serbia. Misha is a scholarship holder of the Scholarship Program for Professional Berlin Artists and Curators of the Senate Department for Culture and Europe 2021 in Berlin. |
