BiographyIva Sanjek is a freelance dramaturge, project manager and musician (instrument: Ondes Martenot). She studied comparative literature and philosophy in Zurich and Berlin, Ondes Martenot in Paris and is a graduate of the CAS Arts and International Cooperation at the ZHdK – Zurich University of the Arts. Intercultural topics are a focus of her work. Among other things, she supervised the platform project «ZüriGrad» with artists from Belgrade and Zurich (2013/2014), accompanied the play «With All Due Respect» by Fiamma Camesi and Malika Khatir as a dramaturg, and in 2018 conducted workshops and visits to the Zurich Theater Spektakel with unaccompanied underage refugees in cooperation with the MNA Centre Aubrugg. In 2019, she led the digital storytelling mediation project «digital_analogue_lab: mixed realities» with young people with and without a refugee background as part of the first intercultural programme weeks «About Us!», which came to a close in summer 2020 with a showing as part of the Zurich Theater Spektakel programme. Sanjek has been active as a musician in the field of Free Jazz and improvisation since 2004. Sanjek is currently researching the practice of deep listening and participatory cultural mediation at the ZHdK as part of her CAS. She lives and works in Zurich.
