| Biography | SELECTED COMPOSER FOR THE 2021 SONIC MATTER_LISTENING LOUNGE Jordi Fresco and Roger Sommer are Fresco / Sommer. Inspired by literature, stories, settings or images, they create improvised musical fragments that are later arranged into compositions. Fresco / Sommer also design site-specific sound installations in collaboration with artists and promote in-depth music listening through listening events. In 2018 their first tape (as Fresco / Soult) was released on the label Innernoise containing improvised pieces for a sound installation at o.T. Raum für aktuelle Kunst in Lucerne. In the context of an installation at Klang Moor Schopfe 2021 they released a 7-inch record titled "Glas- und Porzellanabteilung" accompanied by a live-performance with vibrating glass and porcelain. Later this year ANIMOT, a music album and a book in cassette form, will be released. Abstract, auditory storylines inspired by literary works are created in the form of four sound stories. |
