BiographyAnouck Genthon is a violinist and ethnomusicologist. She anchors her work in the development of her own improvised language through the experience of sound and listening. She likes to engage in transversal forms of research and plays in various contexts at the crossroads of improvised, experimental, contemporary, electroacoustic and traditional music, through various projects from solo to large ensemble. Her work is published by Newwaveofjazz, Another Timbre, Confront Recordings, Pan y rosas discos, UNRec, Insub.rec, Le petit label, and Thödol. She is part of the Geneva collectives @ptt (promotion of acoustic art in the fields of music, language and visual arts) and Insub. (promotion and development of the experimental scene in Switzerland). She is the author of the books «Fictation» (Gamut, 2020) and «Musique touarègue. From political symbolism to aesthetic singularity» (L’Harmattan, 2012).
