| Program | Unfortunately, Francisco López cannot enter Switzerland due to the newly imposed quarantine obligation for the Netherlands. We regret this very much. Nevertheless, we would like to offer our audience on Friday, as promised, a concert evening with strong and meaningful voices of contemporary music. That's why we are very happy that at the last minute VINYL -TERROR & -HORROR have agreed to take over! The duo operates at the intersection of visual art and music. In their concerts with everyday objects and manipulated and smashed vinyl records, they create artful structures and virtuoso performances that inseparably combine sound and sculpture. In this way, meaning emerges above all in the interaction - and the contrasts - between what is heard and what is seen. Here is a little teaser. What does this cancellation mean for those who have already bought a ticket? Your Francisco López ticket is also valid for VINYL -TERROR & -HORROR! The concert will take place at the same time on Friday, 3 December, 21:30-22:30 in the Walcheturm art space. As a thank you for your flexibility, you will also receive a free ticket to our DIĜITA concert on Sunday, 5 December 19:00 at the Alte Kaserne https://www.sonicmatter.ch/calendar/calendar/digita. If you wish to receive the ticket, please send a message to tickets@sonicmatter.ch with the subject BONUSTICKET DIĜITA. If you do not wish to attend the concert, please send a message to tickets@sonicmatter.ch with the subject STORNO SONIC CREATURES. We would be very happy to welcome you and you at the SONIC MATTER Festival on Friday evening at 21:30! |
| Program | VINYL -TERROR & -HORROR is a collaboration between Camilla Sørensen and Greta Christensen. The project focuses on the relationship between objects and sound. It is presented in different situations as installation, sculpture, composition work or as live concerts. Their works - whether it is presented as an installation or a concert - use sound to create a narrative that always directly refers to the medium playing it or the situation it is presented in. The sculptural work includes various materials while the live concerts focus exclusively on LP-records and turntables. |
| Program | The sound performances of Francisco López create virtual worlds of sound from countless sounds that have been recorded in locations all over the world - from rainforests and deserts to factories and other buildings. Over years of work in the studio, these sounds mutate into parts of López’s universe and are further developed into intense, acoustic, immersive experiences in the dark, using a multi-channel surround-sound system and blindfolds for the audience. Suitable for anyone aged 12 and over who enjoys sitting in the dark and listening for 60 minutes. |
