RADIOPHONIC MONDAYS featuring Spectres (CH)

The last RADIOPHONIC MONDAY 2023 already provides a taste of our epic BORDERLINE CLUB CULTURE, taking place on Friday, December 1st, at the Kunstraum Walcheturm. The Zurich sound art collective, Spectre, kicks off the evening before Frequent Defect from Beirut guides the audience into the wee hours of the morning.

Spectres, curated by Axel Kolb and Merlin Züllig, is a concert series dedicated to new acousmatic music: in each edition, performers and attendees are enveloped in near-total darkness, immersed in a soundscape crafted by artists using multiple loudspeakers strategically placed throughout the performance area. The speakers extend their reach to encompass multiple spaces, accentuating and extending the venue’s acoustics and becoming the artists’ site-specific instrument.

Spectres delivers a decentralized, collective, and yet individual sonic experience, fostering synergy between sound, space, and participants. This edition, led by Annie Aries, Atrice, Axel Kolb, and Modulaw, promises an extraordinary auditory journey.
